Hey I have a little problems with sync. I did everthing I found here ---> http://www.akaipro.com/synccubase

I want cubase to be master and mpc to be slave. I use The E-MU Xmidi 1x1 to connect mpc and pc.

And i have 2 problems.

First when I set Mode of the syncin: 1 to "midi time code" and when I starts recording in cubase it doesn't record the first note of the drumloop/sample just second and so on. And even tho cubase records everything wit a little delay.

Second when I change mode to midi clock it records everything but with a little delay as you can se at the picture here --->http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/6863/cubase.jpg

Can you help me with that?

How about setting the correct tempo for the project. By default, cubase will set on 120 bpm. You'll have to assign a tempo to your project in order for it to sync things properly.

And that delay you're hearing is called "LATENCY". You deal with it by lowering your sound cards buffer setting to it's lowest point in hopes it doesn't tax your pc while you're at it.

But you've got the right idea by sync'n via mtc. I use cubase/nuendo myself, so I know what you're going through.

Thanks for answering my post but I know what is latency and I change it to its minimum value.

also I can't sync trough Midi Time Code because when I use it I don't hear the first note of the sequence as I said.

when i use Midi Clock cubase change tempo of the projcet in mpc to value that is in cubase automatically.

It's pretty normal for mtc to cause the first note/beat not to get recorded. But the solution to that would be to offset or have your music start at the second measure then drag everything at once to line up with the grid.

I use to use midi clock exclusively, but found that mtc syncs things much tighter than what you'd get from using midi clock.

So you're saying that it is imposible to record it without any delay ?

In most cases...yeah. If you're experiencing a delay in recording your audio tracks, then I'd look into trying out another audio driver.

You can change the driver within cubase. In my case, I had three drivers to choose from, but only two were worth using.

Then I'd go to my s/c's utility program and do some more tweaking there. In the end I got rid of the annoying latency issues so I could focus more on the task at hand.
