Hey all,

I've recorded a track of the basic Dungeon Bass default sound that I'd like to do some filter sweeps on, but I'm not understanding what I'm doing wrong. I've RTFM quite a few times, and still not getting it, so hopefully what I'm doing wrong is apparent to someone.

I've tried twisting knobs as its overdubbing, but that doesn't affect the sound. If I'm overdubbing and go into Program mode, then the knobs do affect the sound as it plays, but the movements are not recorded.

I've read the whole section on Program and QLink modes (Ch17) and have tried the many combinations of settings suggested yet the events haven't recorded, so I think I'm just not understanding the process.

What I'd like to do is sweep the band boost filter, but that doesn't seem to be an option unless you're in Program mode...it does affect the sound, but the movements are not recorded. Can someone enlighten me on how I can record these knob movements into their affected track?

Thanks,

hayoo

then you can record the mvements

This led to the solution. I wasn't activating the QLink. Activating the button did record the events. I also did have to de-activate that same QLink in order to hear the sweep applied to the sound on playback; keeping it activated caused the sweep value to stay wherever the knob was positioned. This was talked about in Ch17, so I guess I'll have to have yet another read of that section, now that I have a bit more understanding. ;) Appreciate your help, thanks!
