I cannot create the beat I would like to due to a strange bug.

1. I change the "Time Sig" from 4/4 to 3/4 on each bar. I use 4 Bars at tempo 89.2
2. play my sample on every first note on each bar
3. Save entire memory

Everything works nicely until I power off my mpc and try to load the .prj file.
The project gets loaded and here comes le bug.

When I press play, the sampler plays every bar nicely but instead of looping when it leaves the last bar it stops with a loud noise? (Looping is on)

I have done this 3 times now and exactly the same thing happens. Can someone figure out what is happening?
Is there a way around this?

I followed your steps and like you, the sequence is stopping rather than looping back to the start. However, I get no noise.

The sequence was definitely looping properly before the project was re-loaded. I'll see if there's a workaround I can find - intersting to see if there's a single factor causing this, I have never made a 3/4 beat on my 5000, so I wonder if it's related to this?

It's so strange. Is the MPC 5000 incapable of saving 3/4 beats? Please let me know if you come up with something.

Cheers

The 5k has a strange aspect with odd time signatures when you reload them, it will not see the correct loop even though the setting is correct.
All you have to do is once you load it just change the loop.
If you have it set for end change it to the length, if it's set for the length change it to end.
After that you can set it back to what it was.
This was one of the things that got me when I first got the 5k.

thanks for the feedback but I don't really get what I'm supposed to do. Could you please clarify in more detail?

The 5k is saving the info it's just forgetting to reference it when you reload it.
What you have to is when you load it back up once it's loaded just open the sequencer loop window and change the setting to something else then put it back where it was.
So in your case if it was set to 4 bars change it to END, if it was set to END change it to 4 bars.
You can then put it back to what it was and close the loop window.
You are just forcing the 5k to look at the sequencer loop value because odd time signatures can cause it to not properly reference the loop info.
