MPC EFFECTS

i am not greatly impressed with the effects situation on the mpc if i want to filter the whole of my drums it appears i can do nothing else with the effects if i have them bussed out to all my pads surely there is a way i can for example filter all my pads and also do other effects does this make sense??

If you mean low pass or high pass filters....yeah...its super easy.


hit mode + 6 for program
F2 for the FLTLFO page
where it says Pad, dial left to MULTI (multile Pads)
select your filter types, lfo, depth, all that
hit main
hit mode + 1 for qlink
turn the knob you want to use for you cutoff, resonance, whatever.
hit the window key
set Assign to ALL
Parameter to Cutoff, resonance, whatever option you want
hit main
tweak to your hearts content
make out with your neighbors lady



Thats it. It took me a minute to figure that out myself. Also, the 5000 has 4 fx busses, so even if you just set one to filter, you should have another 3, and 1/2 and 3/4 are chainable. Not only that, you can send multiple pads and pads in multiple programs to the same fx bus, so you can apply fx globally, if need be. Just giving you a heads up.

there is one thing though when i press play the effect is applied but i have q link knob set so its off i have to give it a quick tweak to get it set
