Playing off Hard drive with live samples question..

Hi, I'm looking a getting a 5000, but to use it not exactly for it's intended purpose. Basically I want it to run multi channel backing tracks while a selection of short samples can be triggered from the pads and a midi keyboard live..

So my questions are..

firstly, is this possible?

secondly, I assume I have to load the samples into the RAM, but the backing tracks could come straight off the HD? can I save projects that would have it all set up which would load up fairly quickly and just hit play?

I gather the ability to play longer pieces of audio is unique to the 5000 (ie a 2500 with a hardrive wont do what I want?)

I want to be able to assign the samples to 2 stero outs and the backing tracks to 2 stero outs, a further mono out for percussion and a mono click out (ie make use of all 10 outputs)
