Hi E1.

Just got my MPC 5000. It seems pretty deplete of factory sounds. How many are there and how do I see the contents of the disk drive. I did check the manuals and maybe I overlooked something. Sorry for being such a noob.

You won't find anyone here who can tell you how many sounds there are. If you can't find them in a directory on the main disk, I wouldn't worry too much. They're not that great.

I'd be surprised if it wasn't in the manual.

You shouldn't need the manual to work that out but if you do...read it slowly.

there are a few kitz stored in the rom section and on the harddrive should be a loopmasters folder...
