Sequencer question

hello everybody

i'm new and a almost to buy an mpc kinda guy...

only i've got some questions about the Sequencer...

i've did a search and i couldnt find anything about the Midi In (EDIT not multimode stupid) Omnimode
what i want to do is the following thing...

i want to use 2 midi ins at the same time ( record 2 instruments)
is this possible in 1 sequence ? and how does it show in for example midi event edit?

As far as I know, the MPC5000 only records on the current track. And recording from 2 sources mushes the midi together on the one track - you could not separate the two performances. MIDI recorded into a track loses its original midi channel.
