HD recording without additional tracks

Hi
I want to record my song that i created on the 5000 to it's internal hard drive without adding an additional track. is that possible. I know I can record the song with an empty additional track, but is there a cleaner solution?

In song mode select the record tab. Then hit the window button to pull up the mixdown window. Select "save as file" in the destination field. This will bounce your full song to the HD and then will be ready to export as you please. Hope this is what you were asking.....peace

yeah but that only works once i click "add audio tracks to song".. without adding an audio track, there is no record option.. or do i get it wrong?
