Damn... technology! I remember when I thought I was doing something when I added a 9GB HD inside my MPC2000XL.

that's pretty cool...akai is continuing to make these little beatboxes stronger...the 35 gb thing is simple...a kilobyte is 1024 bytes...a megabyte is 1024 kilobytes...a gigabyte is 1024 megabytes...a terabyte is 1024 gigabytes..the manufacturer gives you 1,000,000,000,000 bytes.

anyone feel free to correct me i'm only a comp sci hobbyist.

The same as this tutorial. You need a sata to eide converter to use the sdd(sata). Or you can buy a eide sata.....

What's up, I'm new to this site but a long MPC user. I recently bought a terabyte hard drive for my mpc5000 and had installed it. At first it was working fine but then I started getting message like "bad Fat sector" and "invalid FS on HD". I also "Not operational" so i noticed that I didn't put the jumper on the new terabyte drive. Is this is a must. Respond ASAP because I just received a new one and I want some clarity before I install this one.
