mpc 5000 and digi 003 control surface adat hook up help

has anyone had any luck connecting adat from mpc to digi 003? cant get protools to play the souds to my monitors from the mpcs adat toslink. i know i have to change something in the mpc audio out section just dont know what. oh. i have protools 8. and mac computer. thanks

Good question! thinking of picking up the 003. Anybody using this combo?

In the MPC you have to assign the outputs of the samples or keygroup programs or synth programs in the mixer to 1/2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8 or 1 to 8. The ADAT outs mirror the analog outs. There are no seperate ADAT output assigments to be made in the 5K.

In Pro Tools you have to assign the audio tracks' inputs to the corresponding ADAT In channels and make those tracks record-ready (blinking red record button) to hear the incoming signals.
Also don't forget to set PT to sync to external optical clock source in the "Setup -> Hardware" menu (Optical Format set to ADAT, Clock Source set to Optical [external] ).
