1. i could've sworn i read in the update for 2.0 that you're able to overwrite already-saved files when saving....for example, if i open a .prj file and make changes, I was under the impression that i could save and overwrite rather than having to name the file all over again...am i mistaken, or is the process a little different? :?:

2. does anyone know how to make a period (.) when naming files? i can't figure it out for ****!

I think you can safely overwrite projects (as in the entire samples/progs/seq). There was a bug in the MPC2500 which forced to you save in a different folder, although that is fixed now with 1.24. The MPC5000 never seems to have had a problem with overwriting any file.

Do not put a period in a filename. Bad things can happen, and if you can't select a period when renaming then its protecting you from trouble. You will have to use some other punctuation.

Cheers,
B
