Just Blaze's rant about the MPC 5k. Can anyone help?

hi everyone. i'm a long time mpc user. i started off with a 2k and bought a 4k about 7 years ago. recently i sold my 4k and bought maschine (which is an excellent product). but i can't live without an mpc

i'm looking at the mpc5k, but i just read Just Blaze's rant here:

can any mpc 5k owners give me more information about this? have these problems been solved. is it is a problematic box? have recent os updates rectified most problems.

i was very happy with my mpc4k and would have just bought another one, but the internal synth on the mpc5k sounds really cool.

any help would be much appreciated

The Blaze rant date was August 3, 2008, the mpc5000 is a good buy for the price! i purchased my mpc5000 with the 2.0 update already installed, and i haven't had any problems.

Most issues raised by JB in 2008 were resolved with the release of OS2.

OS2 isnt perfect but it makes the machine useable, so focus your research on any remaining bugs which are already recorded and discussed in this forum.
