looks nice.. I like it.. maybe red jog wheel and/or cursor arrow keys would set it off too..

I am guessing you needed to do the lcd that way and could not remove the casing?

Actually Im getting a friend who does custom airbrushing to do a matching red Decepticon logo on the cursor and a eye ball on the job wheel. The casing was a bit tricky, but I did get it apart. My next major mod will be doing away with the IDE hard drive and installing an E-SATA external connector to the back panel of the MPC right next to the USB plug and connecting it to a 2TB raid with all my sound samples are located. I know it does not pertain to this MPC forum site, but I will follow up with the custom matching MPK 49.

Theoreticaly, it should. The MPC is not a controller in the sense of its hard drive, it only reads from it. So regaurdless if it reads from the stock 80GB HD or SSD it should read from an E-SATA raided HD. I if i do get it to I will advise the forum.

please do (not that I care about 5000's really... but still it's interesting when someone does a good mod, especially a practical one like a raid setup which is something I will be doing shortly for my computer.. except hard drive related gear is sort of expensive lately for some reason)

Trust me it is not that expensive...trust me. Aside for my love for music, I am an IT professional, to build your own HD raid array is very easy. I built a 7 bay 14TB array NAS enclosure to store my vast collection of music, movies, documents and video games. a 2TB HD is about $79 and the 7 bay NAS box I got off eBay for $400
