Mpc sounds question

I've got a 5000 and want to know if anyone is using their MPC as a standalone sound module. I.E. you only use sounds that are on you internal HD. When i say sounds i don't mean drum samples. I have plenty of those. I need some nice sounding instrument sounds that don't sound like I'm playing atari when i build. Anyone?

I just picked up a cheap midi keyboard so I can start creating keygroups with sampled sounds. I'll let you know after I pick up a mic and sample some real guitars, wind inst.... How it sounds.
