Filtering same sample chop in different program?e

I've got a sample chop that is currently in one program with the rest of the chops from the loop I sampled. I created sequence using the program that includes these chops in, but I want to set up a new sequence and then be able to filter out the bass in some of the same chops.

Can I use the same program of chops and just filter the chops I want so that in the original sequence the chops play back as they normally do (without the bass filter) and then in the new sequence they playback as I have them filtered.

Do I need to create a second program with a different name with the same chops to accomplish this?

Yes sir i do this all the time. I'm not in front of my 5k but I think i can guide you thru this.

in program edit window highlight the program name and press the window button. it should show copy above one of the F-buttons beneath the screen. press copy and It will allow you to rename the new copy of the program. This does not duplicate the samples. Now you can edit filter params etc without changing the previous pgm settings.

Or you could just automate your filter for the different sequences.

hmmm.... I usually do the copy pgm/ change filters thing so as to use both pgms in the same sequence.. how do you mean? two different sequences?
