How is the synth/stock sounds in the mpc5000?

Good drum kits? Good synths, painos, basses, leads, brass, strings, guitars, etc...?

The synth is cool. Not a lot of good presets if that's what you're looking for tho. The Akai drum kits that come with it are generic (808, 909, linn, etc). The loopmasters sounds are straight up garbage but this isn't a problem since I didn't buy a sampler for the drum kits it comes with

I dig the 5000 synth. some patches can sound a bit digital but I've warmed them up with my preamp or track them and warm them up a bit. but overall its a pretty decent synth. Some examples below... all synth parts from MPC 5000

I think there are some cool presets but it depends on your style of music. I personally think no synth should be judged by its presets. You gotta get in there and dig... twist them knobs... shake things up a bit.
