Ok, I tried direct recording on this unit for the first time this morning and just had a quick question. When preparing the analog source and establishing a valid threshold and recording volume, how come once setting the track type and enabling direct record, once you press the record button, it ignores your threshold setting and just begins recording?

- Is there a way to have the threshold apply, so there is no blank space before my direct recorded sample?

- Is there a way to have the "count in" apply to the direct recording to avoid blank garbage?

- Or, is this my only choice and have to trim and edit the sample every time I record?

Yes, it does have direct recording to RAM. The issue is, I don't see a way to have the threshold feature actually work while direct recording. Basically, I have my motif ran to my MPC and I want it to start recording when it breaks threshold. To me, it seems that you can only press record, when your progression starts, and wait for the next time around to record, or press record and then start the count in, but either way, it seems your going to have to trim the beginning and ends of the sample, which is kind of silly. It should have threshold options for direct recording. Maybe it does and I am just not figuring it out.
