Replacing the Screen Frame on MPC 5K

As some of you know, my new MPC 5k came with a ding in the plastic screen frame surround. Someone from MPC Parts told me that the entire unit has to be taken apart for this part to be replaced by removing the entire screen, and then the screws out the back of the screen, etc. BUT, it seems that when I fold the screen all the way forward, I can see all those screws perfectly fine. Does anyone know for sure, if I can just replace that part like that, and not take the entire unit apart? I'd rather not get involved with that whole process if I don't need to.
