MPC RECORD BIT ISSUE

Hi Everyone,

I recently brought the mpc 5000 and wanted to know if the mpc recorded/playback 24 bit wav files and aiff files

also does the usb lead to pc come with the mpc only mines didnt come with it and it was a new machine sealed up and everything.

This was discussed on another thread this week. The conclusion seemed to be the 5000 will let you load 24bit files (WAV, I don't think any MPC can read AIFF) and converts them to 16-bit. I know it's internal operations are 16-bit across the board.

All my MPC's were bought used, but yeah even at 2g's Akai probably got cheap and provided no cable. Any USB cable will work though.
