not sure if this is kosher or not but i wanted to share my experience with odyssey.

i bought one of their FZDRC cases that happens to work with the MPC5K (and is advertised as such). got the case, "plucked" the foam and it's all crooked...as in: the mpc literally sat at a 15-degree offset to the case itself. to me this seems like a "manufacturing defect" which should be covered under my warranty. so i email the company with photos and get no response. i call and get the blow-off (person i'm asking for is "in the warehouse") from the phone answerer lady and no return call. a week goes by (and a few more emails sent) and i decide to write one more email chastising them for horrible customer service. i get a prompt reply stating that they cannot help me.

anyhow, hopefully your experience is different/better but i'd recommend finding a different solution.

Check out SKB cases. http://www.skbcases.com/
I had a latch break off, called the company and they sent me 2 latches fior free even though my DJ case is 7 years old and has been through hell.

If the foam isn't a perfect fit, cut your own to size.

A minor inconvenience.

the MPC5K does actually fit and does so with a 1" minimum in all directions. anything bigger (4k, for example) won't fit.

skb makes better cases. this i know. i decided to give another company a shot. bad idea.

minor inconvenience my arse. when i buy a case with pluck-able foam i expect it to not be utter crap. just sell the thing without foam...at least then folks won't be disappointed.

Dude is just venting so it's all good here.

As adults we must learn how to deal with disappointment.

Dont buy from them again, vent your frustration on a forum, ask for a refund, make the case work to your exact requirements, smash the case the **** up, give the case to someone who'll appreciate it, you get the picture.

Choose a strategy to deal with it, and move on.

Potential buyers have been warned, the case in question may not be a perfect fit.
