It was a little while ago, but I remember searching this board for info about whether or not a 2tb sata drive would work in the mpc5k. After messing with it for a little while, I just got it to work. It's been working for like 10 min, so if anything happens, I'll be sure to post in here and explain it. I just realized I d on't know the adapter for the IDE to SATA I used (I can open it up and look if I need to), but it's one I found searching forums here.
The drive was a Western Digital WD20EARS 64mb cache 2TB.
Anyway, as soon as i get a little extra money, I'mma try it in my z8 as well, I'll post in that, too. Not really much to respond to, just figured the info should be out there. If I run into problems at a future date, I'll put them in this thread. So yeah, there you go.
And yes, I know 2tb is gratuitous, but I had the extra hdd just hanging out as a back up for computer crap, but it still has a ton of room on it, and my 80gb drive was almost full.
