Mpc 5000 midi sync and other questions

OK....I need help.I have recorded songs with my guitar inside the mpc 5000,created a program,mixed songs down, saved them to pads as sampl es and then I then put them into they're own sequence in which I wanthave to control and playsaved them backto live with mymy r1 lexicon midi controller.My chain looks like this.....R1 lexicon midi controller to change sequences(my songs)inside the akai...out to boss loopstation to eventide eclipse to pcm 81 lexicon How do I change my sequence with my r1 controller within my akai?

is the r1 the midi foot controller?

i'm not sure if the mpc can receive sequence changes other than start/stop (transport controls) via a midi controller...

however, if you simply want to change sequences by issuing commands as "next, previous, start/stop, etc..." then you would be better off simply using 2 foot pedals that you can assign "next" or "play/stop" to - it's in the mpc manual...

what exactly do you want the R1 to control/change??

maybe i can better understand what you want to do exactly... ?
