I want to use my KP3 to apply effects to the audio of my 5000. Does anyone have experience with the two together? Thank you

i dont own a kp3 but you should try to connect the send outpout to a mixer aux send then route it to the 5K channel

Yes send the stereo outs from the 5000 into the line input of the KP3. The other option is to use a mixing board and put the KP3 on an insert.

im assuming your not using a mixer... You can setup the kaos as a send effect on outputs 7 an 8 of the mpc.. in the fx section choose effect buss 1 and set them to output channels 7 and 8..
make the kaos pad come back into the line input of the mpc..(make sure you switch it to line input)
two ways can be used here..
1. for resampling with kaos pad effects or
2. kaos pad as a effects send ..(make sure you set live input on )
