Anyone know if my sensors are going bad, here's the deal, brought a used 5000 , I have owned two 3k,2500,1000 and 60,2 so I am used to response etc.. I
brought with fat pads not knowing what to expect, but from what i gather isn't the fat pads suppose to give extra sensitivity? that's why i had brought in the first place. I played for first time and noticed I had to hit a bit harder, low velocity would not trigger as described in mpc video's. I opened up to see if corx were installed and noticed one that lost adhesive and was falling off, another had a slight crease. When I put back together I got no sound from pads, opened again and re-played and got sound but pads were triggering other pads, then I had left alone, in my trunk of car wrapped in a towel planning on taking back to store but wanted to try powering on again and everything worked perfect. I hooked back up in my studio next day and back to same issue with pads triggering other pads, basically each row in mode is triggering last pad all the way right of each row, what is going on, is it the sensors?? please help

This sounds very odd... :hmmm:

Have you tried reinstalling your OS? Maybe that could work...

It's a shame to hear that the 5k doesn't work for some people :( I've had mine for about half a year now, and luckily I haven't gotten any troubles with it... so far.

Hope your troubles dissapears with the new one =)

My replacement came in a month ago and it is in mint condition, working 100%, I am glad I was patient and gave the 5k a chance, i just so happen to get a lemon that was mistreated probably the first time, the replacement is perfect. For any one considering buying 5k, don't hesitate but do good research and make sure to fully check as you can only get second hand. if your lucky enough to get a mint condition later release model you wont regret purchase
