MPC5000 MIDI-note information

Hello!

Maybe someone knows the answer or can verify this on his or her MPC5000.

I connected a Roland V-Synth to the MIDI-IN port on the MPC.

Now, when I play the keyboard and record some MIDI-information on the MPC and I view the recorded notes on the MPC they are all an octave lower than the keys I press on the V-Synth. So, I play C4, C5, C6 etc and the MPC displays them as C3, C4, C5.

Playback is ok however, the same pitch as I played them.

Anyone has a clue?

Middle C isnt the same midi note number on all synths, sometimes its an octave up/down. Not sure if this applies to Roland synths though.
