Useing a drum sample in the Appeggiater mode

I saw someone do this on a you tube clip where they turned a durm sample in into its own program. Allowing the appeggiater to play the sample like a synth sound ( meaning playing sample in multiple notes). So - how do I play a drum sample in appeggiater mode to it fullest? Thank you

you can assign 4 layers to 1 pad then set it to cycle or random and use the arpeggiator or playing each pad in real time with the arpeggiator,there's a lot of ways
