MPC5K jogwheel

The jogwheel on my 5K feels extremely sluggish, so much that i rather use the numeric keys to dial in the numbers.
Is this the way its or is ready for replacement?

The jogwheel on my 4K works like a dream!

...don't touch too much...it's a nukai...

but even on the old, real akai machines, the rotary encoder was always THE weak point...

but don't worry, as long as it works....use it....carefully....but yes, sooner or later it's time for replacement....

the rotary encoder itself is about 10 bucks....but you better know what you're doin' if you wanna change it on your own....

what do you need a 5000, if you got a 4000...?

I have too many unfinished projects on the 5K to get rid if it right now. But i will probably never finish them anyway....
But the 5K is better than the 4 in some ways. Like how you can mess with the program when you play a sequence and the thru function for external audio.

You SHOULD always use your numeric keys.
Thats always faster.
I wish the 1000 had them.

The only thing that might be faster then the keypad is a slider.
Just use the wheel for fine tuning.
