Best quality inputs on MPC5000?

Will I get better quality inputs for sampling via the XLR/TRS inputs or the Phono RCAs? Has anyone done tests and noticed a difference?

I'm also wondering if it is an issue to have something plugged into both inputs, is that an issue?

i.e. an output from my DJ setup to the XLR and a turntable on the phono RCAs... Will both be hot or will neither work if both are connected?

You select between the Record In and the Phono In in the sampling screen, so no issue having both plugged in, they don't work at the same time as each other.

Ah, OK, but I'm guessing I can sample through both yep?

Yes, select Record In as the input on the sample screen and you sample through the XLR/TRS inputs, select Phono In and you record through the RCA inputs.
