I always slide bass drums and snares and sidesticks a little later than hihats etc. Getting the MPC5000 gave me a few features I always wished my 60II had.
Namely greater MIDI timing resolution, quantise strength, switch seq from pads etc.
I just powered on my newly acquired 5000 today. Altering the 'shift timing' amount is only editable in increments of ten. This defeats the 960ppqn advantage for shifting timing. I always wanted to try shifting by 5 ticks on a 960ppqn sequencer which is half a tick on a 96ppqn sequencer.
It seems this has been kept out of reach and isn't mentioned in the manual at all.
I hope this isn't a sign of more assumed functionality that is secretly denied.
Can anyone confirm this limitation please?
Thanks,
Roman.
