I am relatively new to the MPC5000 but had a 2000XL for years. On the 2000, if I went to trim and set a sample to loop, when I went back to the main view the loop would play for as long as i held down the pad and stop at the point went i stopped pressing. This was obviously very useful when using bass samples in a track.
On the 5000, if i do the same thing, the sample just plays normally. It plays the full sample, doesnt loop, and doesnt stop mid way through if I release the pad.
Just to be clear, in trim mode, following the steps above the sample does loop when held and stop mid sample if the pad is released. Am I doing something wrong?
