Somebody before me tried to fix it. Before they did 9 of 16 pad sensors were working. After somebody's attempt, none of them worked. I was planning to buy a new pad sensor, but the problem might be somewhere else. Until I resolve it, the sensor will wait.

I have tried to solder two wires to the PCB where the pad sensor would be connected. I have tested four pad sensor connections on the PCB and used a 4k-ohm resistor in case some electronics wouldn't get damaged. That didn't work, used a 300-ohm resistor and nothing. This way I was trying to turn off the mode button LED after it was activated.

Am I doing something wrong trying to trigger the sensor pad press with a resistor?
What are my options? Any input would be appreciated.
