Just had way too many problems with my 4000. If the 5000 is a 1000/2500 on steroids I believe we'll get a long very well. 4000 was great but I'm an MPC newb and think the 5000 is just what I need to easily bust out them dope sequences that stay in my mind daily.

Does the 5000 have a DVD/CD rom & a CF drive?????

Who in their right mind would use a CD/DVD drive? It's not RW -- I can see someone **** up a burn and wasting money on one-shot media. CF for life.

^^
Are you sure its doesn't write/re-write to CDRW? I believe you have been misinformed, which happens when you don't actually use a product.
