Yeah, it is a bit complex .... and thats just the bloody differences between the various MPC's
I'd love to just 'back' the 2500 (if I buy one) when the 5000 arrives, but I doubt Digital Village will be up for that lol. I'll just put it on ebay, or tempt a friend
Uptil now i've been mainly software based, but after getting a korg kaoss kp3 I love mashing around on the pads so much fun
I've got most of the top soft samplers, but freakin hate poncing about programming them with a mouse
Most of my music is loop based, with VST instruments added, although I like to program my own beats.

I'm currently getting into live sound reinforcement, and am awaiting the arrival of a HK Audio Actor DX PA rig, 4 Dart monitors, DBX 31 band, dual channel graphics, Aphex Aural Exciter, DBX feedback destroyer. (hehe, all arrives in about 7 days).
So you see i'm steering away from the software based 'studio' faster than a car heading for a cliff.
I wanna knock out my tunes live, sample my guitar etc etc.
So whats the basic low down on the differences between the various MPC's
