Where's Piano Roll?

A main reason why I bought the machine.. but it appears to be missing.. where's the piano roll?

Chapiter 6 of the manual :

In grid edit mode ( mod + pad 14 )

When the current track " type " is set to " midi " ( see page 19 ) the track will be displayed as " piano roll " style.

what can you do with piano roll? can you change the pitch/velocity/attack of each note in the sequencer/track?

LvngDead - i'm just used to seeing piano keys instead of note numbers -and visual indication of duration.. but i'll be getting used to drum grid now as well..
