The optional cd/dvd drive appears to be only read capable, is there a write-capable drive for the 5k?


Also, if i wanted to install a bigger hard drive (if that's at all possible), where could i look in terms of which drives would be best to use?

Yes, the drive is supposed to be writeable as well....make sure you get the rewritable drive for the 5000


also yes you can get a bigger harddrive... im not sure on which one is the correct one, but you can check some of em out on Ebay, or i would contact Akai personally
