Effects to a pad, only?

I'm trying to apply an effect to one pad, but everytime I think I've done it, the effect (in this case, the compressor) seems to affect the whole program.

Ideas, anyone?

How about reading the section "Effects" in the manual? If you don't have one: How is efx routing designed? Do you route pads to the EFX busses or tracks? Righty, right...there are tracks going into efx section, so try to resample with efx applied and assing resampled sample to pad...done.
