MPC Controllers and latency

So I tried using my MPC 2KXL with FL studio. I have a presonus fire studio mobile, and it seems to give me about 12ms of latency. I never did that again because compared to the native MPC it's just too slow.

So after accidentally destroying the CF drive for my XL, I'm thinking of the controllers as a possible source of creation creativity for me.

Is there any latency? is it improved?

How do they work exactly,? is it just thru usb?

and i guess to clarify, what I mean by latency is delay from when you hit a pad and then what you hear.

managed to get 1ms of latency in FL... now what's the best way to deal with samples in FL//? this is going all over the place i know. but yea, direct wave?

Latency is dictated by your audio interface, not the controller.

The computer hardware influences latency too, but the most important factors are your interface and its drivers...
