Not all software is like this. For example, the second you pull the iLok out for Pro Tools 9, a message pops up and you cannot continue to work until it's plugged back in.

Huh? I though 9 got rid of that dongle? Well, I know you need it for some plug-ins.

I am currently in the manual on 5, but if they crack 6-- Ty is on it!

No, 9 reintroduced the dongle. 7 and 8 didn't need a dongle, unless it was HD or MP I believe!

Most updates to any software are only a couple of additions. but any of those fx racks would cost more than $99 on their own as plug ins. to me this is a decent update though not my favorite

I'm ready to take the plunge into Reason 6. I'm not selling my MPC though... just a few inexpensive pieces of hardware that I never use. That works out perfect! 8)

10 more days... been counting down the whole month, waiting for this and JJ OS2xl ver. 3.0 on October 1st.
This is the time of year that I get to make more music. So the timing couldn't be better.

Upright, have you downloaded it yet?
I'm still waiting for it to arrive UPS. My studio is completely ready and I'm psyched! 8)

Yo that's sweet. Looks like I'll have the new JJ OS before Reason 6 arrives... not much to be excited about in comparison to Reason 6. But it'll keep me busy till then. :)

Indeed! I`m at reason 4 & record 1.0, for me this is a major upgrade. Propellerheads really is cool letting people upgrade from earlier version than 5... I hope they`ll grow strong on the daw market war. I think when they released record they thought to score a bestseller in the garageband domain... That must be the idea behind the audio interface. More guitar than electronic music... But I don`t think that worked. Reason 6 likely is some sort of politic change. Besides I guess that as long as they stick at the no vst strategy the company is solid... If it wasn`t they would try to open the software to thirds. It Would be great if they released a decent dedicated controller, best thing about reason is stability, yet it`s hard to use it live (still better than others actually, but hard imo). A proper controller would be blessed to solve that issue (sorry for the poor english... ^^')

The promotion is definitely until the end of October. :D

It's just now sinking into my brain Reason is now 64-bit. I'm gonna go see what 15-20GB of Combinators looks like. :D
