I don't want to start up a war. So I'll try to keep any reference to previously issued hybrid solutions pretty minimal if not absent at all.
PUSH is da sheez.
It could turn me back to Ableton in one or two years.

Looks really nice. It's tempting for non-Ableton users like me to make the jump.

Push will give us alot more options than APC40 which could step sequence using Max for Live by the velocity sensitive pads. It is a great time for software based production with integrated controllers. Ableton 9 looks great as I'm looking forward to the improved browser and new effects. My main interest is of course the elastic audio and midi instruments.

WOW!
ableton is doing it right! that´s a fair price for such a controller (others spend 1300$ on a controller
). and compared to the renny tranny system push is properly designed and looks sweet!!

I upgraded my Live edition to 8 suite with the discount and I'm looking forward to the free version of Live 9 in 2013. I'm amazed by the audio to midi, and drum to midi parameters cool. If they can pull it off like they have with audio and Max for Live it will be the daw to beat for remixers.
I'm definitively forward to push also as an ex APC40 user.

And I think other DAWs make use of the ableton controllers too... I am guessing they will jump all over this one too... which adds more value.

upgrade from 8 suite to 9 is free
Yeah, I had the regular live 8 and upgraded to suite under the reduced price campaign which lets me upgrade to 9 suite for free in 2013 when 9 is released. First time for me to use the suite edition.

Nice
I been suite owner since version 6, that is a reallly nice gesture on abletons part. other major software developers should follow this example, defntly good way to show appreciation to end users.
