So MAME has emulated the MPC 3000

Moving forward this could be ported on a mobile device like raspberry pi with proper soundcard. Using a nice pad controller with the MPC Workflow would be nice. I don't care about the sound of the 3000 I want the simple but powerful MPC workflow

yeah, i saw that. I think it suffers from having to use a mouse to click one button at a time... the workflow comes from muscle memory and having 10 fingers positioned close to each button before you need to push it.

in my opinion, is it cool? absolutely... and it is a no brainer as a MAME project. For me it would not be really practical to actually make music.

I love it. I'm not sure either of how useful it would be for actual music making, but it would be dope to have that emulation with an LCD screen and hardware pads and buttons.
