Hello,I'm a DJ/Producer who uses Fruity Loops for the moment.
But I seriously looking foward to the release of the MPC Ren and its software.
But 2 questions come to mind and that will help me a little bit decide if I should buy it or not.
1st : I know the software will work as a standalone or as a vst plugin. So that means I can use it inside my favourite DAW (FL Studio for me).But does that include that I can make each track of the MPC software to correspond with each track of my FL Studio Mixer? For example, one of my track is a kick drum inside the MPC software (let's say Track 1),can I directly make it an insert track in the FL Mixer (example Insert 1).I guess it is possible but I wasn't 100% sure so I need your agreement on that.
2nd : So that question is very important to me.It' about the Piano Roll of the MPC software.
In FL Studio, there is a plugin called "Fruity Slicer" that allows you to draw the chops of your sliced sample directly on the Piano Roll. But what's really cool about that is that even if you chopped, let's say beat by beat (1,2,3,4),you can play a chop untill the end of the loop you selected by clicking the "play to end" function.
Will that be possible on the MPC software Piano Roll?
Cuz sometimes I find grooves just by drawing the notes. And with that MPC,I will be able to find grooves by hitting the pads,or by drawing in the Piano Roll.
I already hearing you sayin' what does he need that MPC?He just has to use his FL ! Well I'm really interested by the MPC-R because of that swing it has,the vintage mode, the fact that you can sample directly through it from a analog turntable such as a Technics 1200,the chopping mode etc...But I still want that "FL Studio kind of workflow" with the MPC Software.
Thanks for sharing me some answers if you got time.
