Sample Chop Preview Question

I know that sample chops can be previewed on the pads before committing. Does it also work while a drum track is playing?

Yep, while a sequence is playing I can go into sample edit, select a sample, chop it, assign the chops to the audition pads and export the chops, assign the chops to an active program or assign the new chop program to a sequence track no problem. Sequence doesn't falter at all, keeps playing through.

That is niccccce. Are getting a Ren tutor or do you already have the hardware? Cuz I know you had the software for a minute now.

No hardware yet, I'm getting one sent over from the US as soon as my contact has them in stock, which should be pretty soon. Plenty of preliminary work can be done just with the software, but you can definitely see how the hardware is required for the full experience, even with a hardware MPC hooked up via MIDI (which unfortunately can only control pad playback in the main screen).

Cool feature but hardware already does this. Any chance of a review of significant features unique only to Ren/Studio ?

You can also sample while the sequence is playing in Sample record.

What mpc can edit the sample as the sequence runs and assign ithe pieces to pads at the same time before it chops them I want to know moyphee?

Exactly, no other MPC can.
Some MPCs like the MPC4000 and MPC5000 let you run your sequencer while you are adjusting individual zones start and end points, but not every zone over your play pads like the RENs Audition function.
