MPC Ren Filters

filters are one of my favorite aspects on hardware samplers, i am curious how ren's filters sound & compare to their hardware counterpart? also i'm curious about their behavior, on the MPC's i'm familiar with (2000/3000) the filter would re trigger on each sample or chop, some people disliked that but i personally loved it and use this "limitation" a lot creatively. i'm going to assume the filter sweeps on ren are continuous (like most products today) but if someone can confirm?

let´s hope they sound better than the ones in the 2500. these are some ugly azz filters

you can set it up so eac chop is on a different pad, and then set the filter envelope to each pad to affect the filter, all in one action, and then the filter will retrigger with each chop. is that what you mean?

Ren has 22 (i think) filter types. There's an exact copy of the MPC3000 filter in there as well.

not exactly sure i follow but it sounds like the result i'm after, the way i do it on the 2K/3K is set different cutoff or envelope points on each chop/pad, then assign the filter cutoff to the note variation slider (same as qlink on ren) then when i tweak the fader the sweeps cut in & out on each chop, hope that made sense!

that's actually great news, i love the classic akai filters (not so much the new ones)!
