Everytime I play a sequence for a longer time ( 5 min)
or a sample I recorded, the sound coming from the Ren slightly gets
distorded to the point it is not audible anymore.!
When I switch the Ren off and on again the sound is normal again.

Has anyone else had this experience.?

I leave my REN and computer on 100% of the time. Once every day or two I get this massively distorted sound issue. I close the software and power cycle the REN and everything is back to normal. I think power cycling the REN fixes the issue, but I restart the software just to get back to a know condition.

Sorry that you see this in five minutes....

@ Mark Shovel

So you have the same experience
only with you it takes a longer time to detect it.!

@ Jonespnice1

Reporting it when only 2 users have experienced this ,
I don''t know if that will help.

At all the other Ren users, have you ever experienced the distortion of
the sound.

It can't hurt, and maybe there are several people with that exact problem but just don't frequent the forums.

I experienced that 1st day of using it. It was because the CPU meter was maxed out. Heavy Plugin use seemed to be the cause so I just bounced everything.

**** sucks :fku:

you tried messing around with buffer settings ?, when this happens do you monitor system for potential performance spikes ?

try keeping sound libraries n such on external hard disk so you dont tax your main hdd as much

No, haven't tried changin buffer settings, only the main sound libraries
that came with the Ren are on my main HDD (and nothing else.!)
the other sounds are stocked on a other HDD.

BTW . I am running it on a Desktop Intel i7 @ 3,4 GHz 8 GB

you got plenty of power under the hood, I'd advise to move the sound libraries to external hdd if you can

I have been having this issue since I updated to 1.2. Especially when I go to tracker mixer really distorted .It's kills the whole work full when that happens.
