Hi
I have had the REN for a while but have really left off using it until 1.3 as the copy plugin made and it problematic for the type of music I write.

However now it seems more stable I have been moving my 4k sounds etc into it and I am starting to really write with it.

I am at the moment a little confused about exactly what can be automated.
I can seemingly automate 3rd party synths no problem but not plugins.

Bizarrely I cannot automate a RENs keygroup sampler patch lets say a synth patch made with the REN multi sample capabilities. This seems wierd as third party vsti's work no problem.

Then there are the assignable Q-links.

Could someone guide me as to exactly what the REN can currently record and playback automation and wether there are any workarounds for inputting automation using the assignable qlinks etc.

Thanks
Geoff

hi geof, i too was confused , coming from a cubase background, they still have a fair bit to go before they get it right.

from what im aware you have to assign what every you want to control to the q links, then when you control the cue links when rec the automation is mapped.

ive done it a few times and works ok but not amazing.

Okay cool thanks for that.
Will try it when I get back home.
Hopefully I can map keyggroup program parameters like filter cutoff to a q-link and record that as automation.
