Just a blinking LCD screen

Fired up the Ren yesterday morning and was greeted with nothing but a blinking LCD screen. Checked the power supply with a meter and it's putting out what it should. Guess something in the hardware let go, anybody else have this issue?

there's been a number of reported malfunctioning rens. Make one wonder if the internals match the exteriors feel..
