Plug-in HELP!!!

ok,at the risk of sounding a bit nooby I've come to the forums again for help been running a couple of projects in reason and logic pro 9 so i haven't had the time to get in depth with the REN (software version 1.3.1) all i really need is a step by step walkthrough on how to set my MPC Ren up as a plug-in in logic and believe me I have looked everywhere else for answers and nobody's saying how to do this they all just say it can be done.appreciate any help on this subject thanx.

It's in the manual. You add it to an instrument track in Logic like you would do any plugin instrument. There is nothing else to it.

Ok,let me elaborate....while Logic is running I turn my MPC on then open it's software it is not listed in logic's AU list I went to my Audio Units Manager within Logic and there are two boxes for the Renaissance unchecked.One says "Renaissance Axx (m)" and the other "Renaissance Axx (s)" when I click the boxes to check them another window pops up and down toward the end of that message it says:Validation result:coudn't be opened updating properties of AU Renaissance Axx (m)or(s) by Waves....FAILED,now I need to know what I have to do next????

I'm not sure what is going on as I have never seen this issue. Getting the Ren/Studio set up in this manner is still very basic and not different than any other app.

1. Install the MPC software to include the plugin versions

2. Register your MPC software do it is fully functional

3. Upon up your favorite DAW and scan the folder where the MPC plugins are located

4. Insert the MPC plugin on an Instrument track on your DAW

Notes - Your computer should meet the minimum specs required to operate the Ren. I personally would use the latest OS for your computer. I would also use the latest version of your favorite DAW.

Well I am running Lion on a mac mini from 2012 i'll give a shot at upgrading to mountain lion next in the mean time do you think i should uninstall and re-install or just wait to update to mountain lion??and as most I have a work around so it's not really a big issue but it would be nice to be able to use as a plug-in.

The renaissance axx is a waves effect plugin. Not the MPC renaissance instrument plugin. Did you try to load the ren in the input section of logic (not the effects section)?

yea but that only makes the ren as my audio device(instead of hearing everything I do in logic thru something else I hear it thru the Ren)if that's what you mean of course.looks like I have a real head scratcher here.a real challenge any takers,who can solve my logic/mpc ren mystery??

Everything posted above including the link/video should solve your mystery.

Create an instrument track, don't bother with the library

In the object box (bottom left, with the faders for channel and output) just above the PAN locate the input module, right above the output path. When adding an instrument from the library you'll see something like EXS24 or ES P or whatever. Try adding one of those if you're unsure where to find the right box.

Click and hold the input selector and go all the way down to AU Instruments - Akai - MPC.

If that didn't work, you might want to reinstall properly.

ok found it,but now it says "you already have MPC running in host. You can only run once instance of MPC at a Time." typed exactly how it says.........now what?

Sounds like you have the MPC standalone app running the same time you are trying to use it in your DAW.

Or you are trying to use the MPC plugin on more than one track.

You can only use one instance of the MPC software so close one of them.

never mind I got it Big thanx now to the music.....

yea,I thought you had to have the software running already,but I got it now thanx a lot .
