I am taking down detailed notes, recording videos, and playing around with all these 'fun toys' in an effort to find a workflow that you can use currently and write feature requests for future improvements.

Your efforts are appreciated I hope they listen its all about flexibility and current tech should be able to go with anyones work flow

these things here

PGM to midi notes & Controller mode

are not even big additions but would make a gigantic difference for work flow and flexibility and controllability

like I said the ren has so much potential it makes no sense to chain it up to me its the best controller/mpc yet but the controller side needs to be let of the chain/official controller mode coded by akai

Then you wouldnt need to look past your ren for nothing unless your playing chords or want to perform using a keyboard which you can do thru the ren that makes the ren cover all bases which at present its only limited not to

Danny wrote:thanks for video Jah, that may have been what someone wanted but i was on about
using the whole of the rens control surface, pads qlinks etc to make it mappable with abletons midi mapping while using the ren as a vst in ableton

so like you done there in your video but select a new midi track on the ren and you
could map a pad to an audio clip in ableton or a qlink to control a pan for example
(which you can do in standalone with the ren software open and ableton open at the same time, i have 2 screens the ren in one and ableton in the other make life easier.)

Is it impossible to do this with Live and the Ren now? If Live audio clips and params can be controlled via MIDI note numbers and MIDI CC messages then what you described should be possible.
