Is there a way to go back threw your saved data to a program? I have no clue what happen. But a project I have been working on for a week now. Crashed during a save and then when I reloaded it all this distortion and Echo. Sounded like my speaker were blown. This is really a bum deal. I had a lot of time in this one. It would load and then crash like 3 times. Then it would play but straight garbage. Oh man this one hurts.

which OS are you on?
if PC/Windows I would restart your computer/laptop you may have an issue with a driver.

If on Mac, restart and see if it is the same problem

goto preferences, and check soundcard selection

if your speaker is blown play some music to identify if it is indeed damaged...

Did the reboot and still the same. I was in plugin mode in Abelton. I had a few plugins open inside of the Ren.

Abelton has a crash report system.

Wish the Ren did't do this.

I started hearing pops and crackles before it crashed. And my CPU was at about 18% it just seems once the song had a lot of complexity it crashed like 4 times prior. But I had saved everything. Then it crashed in the middle of saving.

Oh man this makes my week suck so bad

Ok so it is in the Ren I closed it out of Abelton. And opened it up in standalone mode. Retrieved my program and nothing but crap on a few tracks. It pops, crackles, echoes, just pure garbage. When I save a file it overwrites it?

This sux so bad. There has to be a way to fix it.

I believe it saves over the current if you do not use Save As.

are the clicks coming from a certain VST/Plug-in?

you may have to(and it sucks) track out different sections of the song and then mix them into Ableton without the MPC.... I would record the situation and post on Youtube..

I had crackle during playback but it was my Duet 2 that was in conflict. And the situation occurred in all applications

Ok got it figured out. I opened a new sequence without copying the last one.

Started to bang one out out on what I assumed were empty tracks.

But since there was other sequences with that track in use with effects. I put another program on top of it along with another effect. And that isolated the problem.

But it does crash quite often when as plugin in Abelton and you try and save. it seems it happens most if you try and save wile the beat is playing. Akai is aware of this and working on so I hear.
