Had the Ren now for about 2 weeks, lovin every minute of it, personally think so far its way ahead of the 5000!

couple of questions,
Is their a way to adjust the swing of an entire sequence rather than just track by track? i go into TC and the only options their are for the individual track i'm on - i'd like to adjust the swing off all tracks in a single sequence if thats possible?

also, exporting problems. and apologies i'm sure theirs a thread about this but for the life of me i cant find it!

Im using the Ren as my stand alone soundcard - i've hooked up my motif XS6 using the spdif cable. I can record sequences from the motif and they play back great (although pretty quite and my master volume on the motif doesn't seem to work when ran through the Ren) - anyway - they only export as silence, all mpc parts of a sequence export individually fine - but anything from the motif just creates a wav of silence. i've gone through settings and cant figure out why, any help? :hmmm:

thanks

Swing can't be applied to an entire sequence. I feel this is a needed function that legacy MPCs can perform.

The Ren doesn't have an Input Thru function that will allow you to Export audio from an external module.

i used this method with the machine and motif rack xs but resampling is the key maschine had a feature to resample in sync with how many bars u were using. that allowed you to sample while playing the seq either external or internal. After that i would place a midi note (on whatever base note you use) at the start of the seq and strech it to the end be sure to turn sample play to note on so sample will stop playing when the track stops. the key is to sample to the bar. i have not found out if the mpc software has the abilty to sample in sync with the track. hope i explained this right lol

I would record the Motif and other sound modules into a DAW.

Because it can't be done.

For some stupid reason, the MPC Software does not have the Record Event option that the MPC2500/1000 Direct Recording feature has, which lets you record a sample while the sequencer is playing, then place an event in the sequencer to trigger that newly recorded sample at the correct location within the sequence.

One of the more mentally challenged forum members thinks that this is not necessary, they will not accept anything less than full Pro Tools style audio tracks.

Other forum members would really like to have this feature ASAP.

Actual Ren/Studio users don't want this feature based upon forum feedback. Audio tracks is the way to go.

They do, as proven by the OP here in this thread.

That is not what the OP is asking.

He wants the Input Thru function where external audio can be exported along with MPC tracks. You have heard of this feature? And audio tracks would be the perfect solution for the OP in my very humble opinion.

Besides...the Motif comes with Cubase if I recall correctly. All the tools he needs are right at his finger tips already without needing a new feature to be added.

Lets get some actual forum feedback then.
